# Class ParameterMapping

OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Execution.ParameterMapping

Represents an expression-based assignment to a process parameter when an inline activity is entered or exited.

## Constructors

`public ParameterMapping(string target, string expression, ParameterPurpose purpose = ParameterPurpose.Temporary)` 

Creates a mapping that assigns the result of evaluating `expression` to the process parameter named by `target`.

### Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `target` | `String` | The name of the process parameter that receives the evaluated value. |
| `expression` | `String` | The expression to evaluate. |
| `purpose` | `ParameterPurpose` | The [ParameterPurpose](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Model/ParameterPurpose/) to use when `target` does not name a process parameter defined in the process scheme. Defaults to [ParameterPurpose.Temporary](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Model/ParameterPurpose/). |

## Properties

`public string Target { get; }` 

Gets the name of the process parameter that receives the evaluated value.

`public string Expression { get; }` 

Gets the expression whose evaluated result is assigned to [ParameterMapping.Target](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Execution/ParameterMapping/).

`[JsonConverter(typeof(StringEnumConverter))] [JsonConverter(typeof(SystemStringEnumConverter<ParameterPurpose>))] public ParameterPurpose Purpose { get; }` 

Gets the [ParameterPurpose](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Model/ParameterPurpose/) to use when [ParameterMapping.Target](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Execution/ParameterMapping/) does not name a process parameter defined in the process scheme. Defaults to [ParameterPurpose.Temporary](https://api.workflowengine.io/core/OptimaJet.Workflow.Core.Model/ParameterPurpose/).
